The action movie Drive hits some serious curves thanks to Christina Hendricks

The vehicular action movie DRIVE is certainly assembling an impressive cast, especially when you factor in the bounteous bosom of the latest addition, "Mad Men" co-star Christina Hendricks. Va-va-VROOM.

The Botticelli-bodied beauty joins her fellow AMC comrade Bryan Cranston ("Breaking Bad") in the movie, along with Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Albert Brooks and Oscar Isaac (ROBIN HOOD). A lot of intriguing heavyweight talent for an action flick, but it comes from director Nicolas Winding Refn (BRONSON, PUSHER) so it's bound to have some swerves to go with these curves.

The LA-based story, adapted from the James Sallis novel, follows a stunt driver (Gosling) who moonlights as a getaway wheelman for hire. Naturally a job goes sour, and he finds himself on the run with a price on his head. Cranston plays the driver's mentor, Mulligan is the love interest, and Brooks is a notorious mobster.

No word yet on the part that Hendricks will be playing, but it's a safe bet she'll draw attention when she's on screen no matter the role.

phew!
I'm just glad its not a remake of the Mark Dacascos flick of the same title. Ryan Gosling is a totally underrated actor I hope this flick will help him out of the "fame-limbo".

I think i found my new choice for Mary Jane. I'd definitely be behind any new Spidey movie then.

This movie now has another 2 BIG reasons to see this movie. Can't wait. I've had Gosling withdrawl for too long.

Nicolas Winding Refn moving hoollywards, heh heh he! He seems to be doing in it a very wise way, making a couple of creative english language euro/british films before landing in america...keeping his personal vision unsullied by big money so far. Very promising. This sounds like a great fit for Gosling too.

AWESOME
God damn this movie just keeps getting better and better. I'd see the movie if all I knew was that Refn was directing, but with a cast like Gosling, Mulligan, Cranston, and Hendricks (and Brooks is interesting casting), plus a cool-sounding story, I'm pretty damn excited for this. Still have to see Valhalla Rising and the Pusher trilogy, but Bronson sold me on Refn as a filmmaker.

This is definitely one of my most anticipated projects. And every piece of news just makes it that much more exciting (although, Winding Refn alone could inspire interest). I've only seen Hendricks in "Firefly," and I know that's not why people here love her. It must be said, her assets are a might distracting.
